On Sunday, 13th March, 8 healthy young men go to Northwick Park hospital in north west London to take part in a trial of an experimental drug, known only as TGN1412. The drug is intended to treat conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis & leukemia. It was supposed to be a routine clinical trial but it’s set to become one of the most scandalous medical experiments of the 21st century.
David was among a group of six fit young men, who before long were left fighting for their lives, whilst their organs began to shut down.
It’s one of the most shocking medical disasters in British medical history. Now ten years later , some of the patients and professionals involved are ready to tell their story by way of a fascinating drama documentary.
